Dr. Maximous is a clinician-educator who practices pulmonary and critical care medicine at several UPMC sites in Pittsburgh and across the system via telemedicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at Boston Medical Center, followed by a year working in rural Rwanda with Partners in Health, after which she moved to Pittsburgh in 2014. She now serves as an Associate Program Director for the UPMC Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship training program, core subspecialty faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency program, and an instructor in several University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine courses. She co-chairs the Sustainability and Climate Health Education Committee for C4CA and has an interest in how we train the next generation of clinicians to both understand the implications of climate change on patients’ health and also how clinicians can advocate for environmental justice.
