Holly Vogt

Holly serves as UPMC Senior Director, Center for Sustainability. Under the leadership of UPMC Chief Administrative Sustainability Officer, John Krolicki, and Chief Medical Sustainability Officer, Dr Michael Boninger, Holly is committed to bringing her future thinking approach to drive change and embrace sustainability practices. Holly is excited to lead the efforts to create a Strategic Sustainability Action Plan that will be implemented system wide. A holistic approach will be the strategy to embed sustainability initiatives into every department and service provided calling all UPMC employees into action.

Prior to coming to UPMC, Holly served in a dual role as the Director of Sustainability for Beaver County and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Recycling Coordinator for Beaver County, PA. She has over 20 years of experience. Her expertise lies in maximizing resources to achieve program development/growth with successful outcomes. She expanded 8 public County recycling initiatives, developed and lead sustainability projects in 12 school districts, and worked to establish government/industry partnership to increase environmental awareness.

Holly has an Executive Masters of Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science from Slippery Rock University. She holds a Pennsylvania Certificate of Recycling from Penn State University and Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania. Holly is an elected Board Member to Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania, Alliance for Consumer Protection, and Slipper Rocky Board of Alumni. Holly has a passion for her local community and has participated in RiverSweep for the past 10 years cleaning local watersheds and organizing volunteers. She also enjoys participating with Keep America Beautiful as an opportunity to mentor youth. Her favorite motto is to "Dream Big and Act Bold" and that is the standard that she sets for herself.
